CAMP BESTIVAL 2018

The Jurassic Coastline of Dorset, so named because of the huge number of fossils from the prehistoric period which can be found along its shores, is one of the most beautiful and picturesque places in the World. Its iconic and dramatic cliffs are one of Britain’s most quintessential landmarks, and they are also home to one of Britain’s most beloved family festivals, Camp Bestival.

Music aficionado Rob Da Bank set out to create a sister festival to the already hugely successful Bestival, geared up to provide families with a weekend of fun and discovery from the youngest babies and toddlers, their elder brothers and sisters, all the way to their parents and grandparents. Testament to their success in this mission are the six UK festival awards they hold, the first for “Best New Festival” after their inaugural year in 2008, and for “Best Family Festival” in 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2017.

Camp Bestival has called Lulworth Castle and the surrounding estate home since its opening in 2008, and has been joined by Bestival which historically has been on the Isle of Wight. This means back to back Bestival Festivals and a whole lot of fun in one place!

Portobello had its longing eyes on Camp Bestival before we got out of the gates in 2016. Now, in our third season providing luxury accommodation under canvas to festivals and events across the UK and beyond, we are ecstatic to announce that we will be joining the family and bringing our stunning Lotus Mahal to Lulworth Castle over the weekend of 26th-29th July 2018! Wahoo!

Our Lotus Mahal is available to book for Camp Bestival, and with over 60 sq/m of floor space and up to four king size double beds and a lounge area, it is set to redefine the boutique camping experience like never before! You can read more about this incredible structure here.

For those of you with a growing brood, looking for a fun filled summer holiday on home shores, there really is no better choice than Camp Bestival, and remember that you’ll need to sleep well when you’re there. 😉

See you on the South Coast!
